As per usual, CAYR’s annual A Taste for Life fundraising event needs support, your support. The need for care and donations is so very vital.
I think we can all agree that the cost of living has increased.
Food insecurity is a real thing; homelessness is a real thing; the stats are there.
How can you help? By helping us offer folks in this community, a true Taste for Life.
“My quality of life has improved as result of the financial, emotional, physical and social services provided by the staff and well wishers of CAYR.”
Words like this, from our service users and clients, are the reasons why we need your help to keep pressing on even when the challenges and hurdles seem insurmountable.
“This money (gift card) will help me buy my mental health back.”
Folks who seek support and services through CAYR already face some serious barriers – they are some of the most vulnerable and marginalized in the Region – specific streams within our programming operate around people living with and affected by HIV/AIDS, people living with and at risk of Hepatitis C (HCV), people who identify as 2SLGBTQ+, and harm reduction practices for those who use substances.
Please consider visiting our campaign page to donate now. Be a part of our mission in providing access to dignified support and helping folks meaningfully engage in self-determined pathways to well-being. A donation or sponsorship can help establish food security, access to needed heath care, find shelter, clothing, safety, transportation. As we see an increase in the number of people seeking our services and support grow, so does the demand to providing basic “quality of life” needs.
I urge you to please consider making a financial donation to support our organization and this campaign during these difficult times. At CAYR, we have chosen to take a stand in persevering to assist our service users, even in the face of adversity and a lack of resources. The question now is will you take a stand with us?
