Spirit of the Season

Holiday Giving is such a BIG thing for so many folks.

“It’s the holidays, time to give back.”

So many Santa funds, so many drop -offs and kettles for money collection, toy and food drives, even a global wide day dedicated to giving. It is great and wonderful! I love this season mostly for that reason, Holiday Giving.

“It’s beginning to look a lot like Christmas” could just also be “It’s beginning to look a lot like giving, everywhere you go.”

We at CAYR are so grateful for all the support received for our clients and service users, including basic needs like toques, mittens, socks, and food hampers. These gifts come from some amazing giving hands and hearts, generosity that touches so many.

The need for holiday support seems to build every year with demand surpassing supply. But even though life can be challenging all around, people still try to support the best that they can. I often need to take a moment when I can to reflect upon this, to feel the love and caring that is shared.

CAYR would like to thank:

So many thoughtful individuals, too many to list. You can see more here: https://cayrcc.org/about/funders-and-sponsors/

You can add yourself to that donor list here: https://www.canadahelps.org/en/dn/13454?v2=true

It is the true spirit of the season.
